2020 in Review
I’m not the Christmas type. I don’t celebrate the religious part of the holiday and I really don’t understand the capitalistic takeover of it either.
What I do like, is the forced slow down. The time that I really can’t work much and I have to stop and look around a little more than I am used to. More time to walk outside and smell our salt air. More time to reflect how this land is so changed from how it was when the Coast Salish….the Duwamish people cared for it. More time to plan what I am going to do once the chains come off……how I will continue to contribute to a massive overhaul of the paradigms we have created.
This year because of you the community, and all of our hard work, our business is surviving Two mandatory shut downs and #poopagedon2020
I’m grateful more than ever.
My partner in crime, my 1 deep, is home due to school being on line…….My interactions with folks are solid and genuine and I have a hunger more than ever to work and make a difference in how people understand their body. I have a burning desire to help folks achieve the leverage they need to get what they want——to be able to put others on the mat when needed with minimal effort.
I know what I want, how I plan to get it……I just don’t know the paths I will take to get there……but I trust…..I trust myself, boxing, this community and the work we all do together.
Ain’t no shitstorm strong enough to sway my vision or the actions needed to achieve what’s ahead.
Thank ya’ll for everything….You already know that all we need to do is
