Going into dysfunction
The longer humans are on the planet, the further we get from nature and ourselves. We push everything into categories of us and them even with our capability of intelligence.
A compartmentalized mind = a compartmentalized body and vice versa.
We cannot operate to our fullest potential in these states.
Boxing stretches a human being’s abilities by forcing us to have to connect fully in a state of duress. We have to calm down and fully access our frontal lobe while in a state of excitement. We have to think and see without clouded vision, widening the narrow focus to one of resting our vison in space. It is here we have the freedom to truly see and respond versus react.
Everything we have constructed has divided us into hierarchy so we do not have to face our individual dysfunction. We have created limitations artificially to mask the restriction in our bodies and minds. We have bullied our way into privilege and status versus doing the work to get to our roots.
Boxing exposes discrepancy and I am grateful for its brutal teachings.
