It is important to surround yourself with people who strive to learn. Strive to push their limitations and want you to surpass your own. Whether you are looking for a relationship, community, friends, coaches, or colleagues, it’s essential to look for those who are ok to be uncomfortable themselves and handle your discomfort without trying to change you.
Im surrounded by an incredible community. I see many brave souls walk in and out of here every day. They allow boxing to dump complacency on its butt. They are willing to take their lessons into their daily life which helps this gym community grow.
I’m especially thankful for AJ from The Athletic Training Institute, Brian from MTI and Kathy from Functional Patterns. They have all helped ignite a new fire in me for body mechanics and excellent boxing. I’m excited to see how all our collaborations translate through the competitive boxers in the ring.
