When I was first introduced to social media, I was skeptical and rather negative. Slowly, I warmed to the idea and now I am a full fledged social media addict. I finally gave in to the risk of exposing myself to the public. Now, I feel it is my duty to expose my experiences to the public. It’s what coaches and athletes should do……share their experiences for community so we can all learn and grow……so we all know that we are in this together having similar experiences. I often get ideas and inspiration from others doing the same for me.
The quote below came from a post from one of my most favorite facebook pages: Buddhist Boot Camp.
“Living life means taking chances, but they’re worth taking. Loving might be a mistake, but it’s worth making” —Lee Ann Womack
I love boxing! Taking a risk in the name of boxing is completely worth it.
Last year, Jen Hamann decided to take a big risk and announce her goal of reaching the 2016 Olympics in boxing. A huge risk with no resume. I too took the risk of supporting this goal. There is no doubt in my mind she will be standing on the podium victorious when all is said and done and there is no doubt that I have the skills to help her get there.
Because of social media, we will take this journey with you the entire way. We will share our ups and downs and get to share in yours.
Thank you everyone for your belief in risk, community, connection and supporting dreams. Thank you for following our pages and blogs. Jen is establishing her resume because all of you have helped us in these early stages and we will always remember where we started.
