Constructive Dissatisfaction

Previous to my coaching life, I worked for United Parcel Service.  Anyone who knows me, knows I do everything 100% or more.  Such was the case for me in the brown army.  I “bled brown” just as I bleed boxing now.

One of my most favorite perspectives came from founder, Jim Casey.  He talked about creating an environment of constructive dissatisfaction.  I love this as a coach and for my boxers.

There is a fine line between beating oneself up and being negative versus being constructively dissatisfied and being motivated to improve.

How do you see that line?
