Nationals Fundraising

It is 24 days until the USA National Amateur Boxing Competition begins.  Boxer Jen Hamann and I are raising money to travel to Spokane to compete for the top spot.  Winning Nationals gives Jen the opportunity to represent the US at International competitions and get much needed experience in preparation for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Jen has been training hard, doing community service, going to school and fundraising consistently since January.  We are now in a last big push to get the funds necessary to reach the first Goal in this 3 1/2 year process.

All amateur athletes depend on the community to make their dreams possible and that is why I am reaching out to all of you.  Training for the Olympics is a full-time commitment, and isn’t a singular undertaking. Jen brings all of her time, energy, and emotion to reach this goal, but also relies heavily on her coaches, family, friends, volunteers and donors who have stepped up to support already. The costs of competition are high, with travel expenses, equipment, tournament fees and other costs.  Donors are critical in helping offset these costs to achieve success. Whether Jen reaches this goal depends on the entire community. We are thankful to everyone who is already supporting Jen and the Hamann Road to Gold through this journey, and invite you to join us.
